Gokū acaba finalmente con Freezer, pero cuando llega a su nave, no puede hacerla arrancar y luego cae al magma, el planeta Namek explota junto con Gokū. Yamcha es el encargado de hacérselo saber a Bulma. En la Tierra no hay inconveniente ya que podrían revivirlos con las Dragon Balls de Namek, pero Kaiō-sama explica que serían revividos en Namek. Al ser revividos, Gokū y Krilin volverían a morir ya que Namek no existe. Gohan comienza a pelear con Vegeta porque él se burla y le dice que su padre jamás regresará.
