Con el fin de proteger a los Androides, el A-16 ha decidido enfrentarse directamente contra Cell. Mostrando un enorme poder utiliza su técnica especial, llamada Hell Flash, para dañar gravemente al monstruo. Sin embargo, éste sobrevive y absorbe al androide A-17 tras sorprenderle por la espalda. La energía de Cell comienza a aumentar de manera impresionante, y el poder del A-16 ahora no es nada comparado con el del monstruo. Ahora Cell intenta convencer a la A-18 de dejarse absorber, utilizando la voz del A-17. En su ayuda acude Ten Shin Han, quien para permitirle escapar a la androide arriesgará su vida.
