Cuando llegan a Río Rojo, lugar entre las naciones imperial y la republicana, son detenidos por Rob Herman, comandante del ejército republicano y el teniente O'Connell, confundiéndolos como espías del imperio, pero Sieg logra escapar. En prisión se encuentran con Irvine. Cuando Sieg regresa para rescatarlos, Bang y Irvine logran escapar y derrotan al capitán Herman y dos de sus soldados que conducían Pteras. Mientras tanto Moombay y Fine son liberadas y firman un contrato con el teniente O'Connell, prontas a una batalla con el Imperio.
