Shiryū está en desventaja porque no puede enfrentar a Argol sin mirarlo. Intenta atacar a Argol cubriéndose los ojos, pero el escudo de Medusa convierte su brazo en piedra. Cuando está a punto de ser derrotado, aparecen los Caballeros de Acero, quienes al principio ofrecen resistencia, pero luego son derrotados. Shiryū toma una decisión, con sus propios dedos destruye sus globos oculares y finalmente, inmune al poder del escudo de Medusa, derrota a Argol con su Dragón Ascendente de Rozan. Con la muerte de Argol, Seiya y Shun vuelven a su aspecto normal. Spartán huye llevándose a Shaina. Mientras Shiryū es operado de los ojos, Seiya y Saori investigan sobre los Caballeros de Acero, con el Dr. Mamori del Centro Científico Graude. Lamentablemente los médicos no pueden hacer nada por recuperar la visión de Shiryū.
