Ambos hermanos se levantan para atacar a Bud que su ataque no es efectivo. Shun cae exhausto mientras Ikki sigue luchando y Bud obtiene los zafiros que poseía Shun. Ikki usa el ken de la ilusión en la que Bud está a punto de matar a Syd pero según Ikki, no lo hace porque su corazón no se lo permite. y Bud saca toda su furia golpeando a Ikki. Syd se estaba despertando y toma a Ikki por la espalda. Le dice a Arcor que se apure y elimine al Fénix. Arcor se prepara pero duda ya que su hermano también moriría. Syd no aguanta más y cae al suelo. Bud camina hacia él y lo carga en brazos. Le dice a Ikki que cuide a su hermano a cualquier costo ya que la amistad y la hermandad son un tesoro. Bud cambia su manera de pensar y lo lleva a su lugar de origen donde serían felices si volvieran a nacer.
