Shiryū trata de descansar en los Cinco Picos, pero su espíritu no reposa tranquilo ante la posibilidad de quedar ciego para siempre. Mientras tanto Seiya, se dirige a Jamir en busca de Mu, intentando encontrar una cura para los ojos de Shiryū. En los cinco picos, Shiryū y Shunrei salen a pasear, pero Shunrei, mientras nada en un río, es arrastrada por la corriente. Shiryū, no puede hacer nada debido a su ceguera. Justo a tiempo, aparece Okko, antiguo compañero de entrenamiento de Shiryū, y rescata a Shunrei. Debido a una antigua rivalidad entre ambos, Okko ataca a Shiryū, pero Shunrei alerta a Okho sobre el impedimento de Shiryū. Debido a esto, Okko decide postergar la batalla. Sin embargo Shiryū se siente frustrado y llora amargamente bajo las aguas de una cascada.
