Shiryū empieza a abatir a Shura con su cosmos. Shiryū recuerda las palabras del maestro. no debe incendiar su cosmos al máximo o podría morir. La explosión causada por maximizar su cosmos puede derrotar a su enemigo, pero también puede acabar con su vida. Shiryū, decide arriesgarlo todo y ejecuta su Dragón Naciente. Shura aprovecha el punto débil de Shiryū descubierto por Seiya en el torneo galáctico y le clava su brazo en el pecho a la altura del corazón. Shiryū aprovecha la situación, y rompe los huesos del brazo izquierdo de Shura. Shiryū hace un nuevo intento y Shura vuelve a repetir el movimiento, esta vez con el brazo derecho. Esta vez Shiryū vez corta el brazo derecho de Shura a quien sujeta por detrás, mientras hace estallar su cosmos. Ambos salen despedidos hacia el cielo a gran velocidad, mientras el templo de Capricornio se derrumba por completo. Todos sienten la explosión del cosmos de Shiryū, incluso el viejo maestro con Shunrei y lloran por la partida de su amigo.
